Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in East Amherst, NY

Exciting opportunities await for two dedicated school-based Speech Language Pathologists to support students' communication growth in dynamic educational settings near East Amherst, NY. These contract roles are ideal for professionals passionate about making a positive impact through evidence-based speech therapy.

Two full-time positions are currently open:

• One SLP will split their schedule—approximately 70% in a high school life skills setting and 30% at a nearby non-public school. The schedule runs from 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM, with lunch and planning times provided. The assignment is expected from late October through January 2027.
• The second SLP will serve students at a middle school, working from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM from early November through the end of January, also with built-in lunch and planning breaks.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Current or eligibility for New York SLP licensure.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered.
• Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience is highly valued.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills.

Essential Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct 7-8 individualized 30-minute sessions daily, addressing students’ speech and language goals.
• Assess, document, and monitor student progress.
• Actively consult with teachers, families, and special education professionals.
• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with educational objectives.
• Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain accurate records.
