Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship
- State licensure (or able to obtain) to practice as an SLP in Indiana
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred, but not required)
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, adapt to varying needs, and work independently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student learning
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals within IEP guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide professional input for student success
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress
- Offer consultation and resources to teachers to foster inclusive classroom environments
- Remain current with best practices and continuing education in speech-language pathology
