Step into a dynamic educational setting this spring as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist providing vital support to students in grades 4 through 8. This full-time position covers a maternity leave from April 15th to June 11th and offers the rewarding opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators and families, ensuring continuity of care and communication growth for students during an important part of the school year.

You will serve both the intermediate (4th-5th grade) and middle (6th-8th grade) schools, tailoring your approach to meet a diverse range of student needs in a vibrant academic environment.

Your background should include:

  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Prior experience working in a school setting, with a focus on pediatrics or adolescents
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms for potential remote support
  • Ability to work effectively with children presenting a variety of communication disorders
  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, families, and fellow SLPs
  • Passion for student success and individualized learning plans
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness, adapting services to evolving student and school needs

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting evaluations and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Delivering both direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
  • Documenting progress and preparing required reports
  • Liaising with teachers, counselors, and caregivers to maximize student outcomes
  • Adhering to school schedules and compliance requirements
  • Providing teletherapy services as needed
