A Speech Language Pathologist is needed for a full-time or part-time contract position in a K-12 school located in East Millinocket, ME. This opportunity is ideal for professionals holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or School SLP credentials. The position spans the full school year and offers an engaging environment serving a student population with diverse speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across grades K-12
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Participate actively in student meetings and parent conferences to discuss progress and goals
- Provide direct speech therapy services to approximately 20 students
- Utilize and pitch VOCO (Voice Output Communication Aids) as part of therapy interventions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification with CCC, CFY, or school-specific licensure
- Experience working in educational settings with K-12 populations
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with VOCO and augmentative communication techniques is a plus
