Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and learning journey in a dynamic school environment. In this role, you’ll provide skilled speech-language pathology services to a diverse caseload of 38 students utilizing AAC and multimodal communication methods, with some students presenting behavioral needs. This is a full-time assignment, starting as soon as possible through June 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, especially those needing AAC support and multimodal therapy approaches
  • Familiarity with common AAC devices, tools, and strategies
  • Strong collaboration skills to effectively partner with teachers, aides, and families
  • Ability to manage a caseload, conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and document progress
  • Problem-solving skills and flexibility when addressing varied student needs, including those with some behavioral challenges

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to students using evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and feeding disorders
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development activities
  • Demonstrate adaptability and proactive communication with all stakeholders
