Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active SLP license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) welcome to apply
- Previous experience in school-based settings is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-12 students, adjusting approaches to diverse learning needs
- Complete comprehensive assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and monitor progress
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Consult regularly with teachers and parents to support students’ communication goals
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and ongoing collaboration with staff
