As a key member of the educational team, you will:
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active New Mexico SLP license
- Current New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- School-based SLP experience preferred, ideally with elementary populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, educators, and administrators
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments, conduct evaluations, and interpret results to guide individualized planning
- Support a diverse elementary school caseload with evidence-based therapy tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, district staff, and families to deliver coordinated care and effective interventions
- Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, developing goals and progress reports in accordance with federal and state mandates
- Document services, maintain compliance with required procedures, and advocate for students’ communication needs
