School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Edison, New Jersey

If you’re passionate about making a difference in schools and skilled in speech-language pathology, consider this rewarding contract opportunity beginning Fall 2026. Multiple full-time positions are available for dedicated SLPs to support students in two elementary schools serving diverse K-5th grade and preschool populations. This 12-week assignment will immerse you in collaborative educational settings and allow you to positively impact students’ communication and social development.

What we’re looking for:
• Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist License
• Valid NJ Speech Language Specialist (SLS) Certification
• Accepted: Clinical Fellows—with the ability to secure outside supervision (the district does not provide CF supervision)
• Preferred: Candidates holding CCC-SLP credentials, especially experienced in school-based or pediatric settings
• Strong ability to support students with high Autism and preschool populations
• Effective communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• SLPAs are not considered for these roles

Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering individualized and group speech and language therapy for preschool and elementary-aged students
• Conducting assessments, developing treatment goals, and maintaining progress notes
• Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning and communication goals
• Participating in IEP meetings and providing recommendations as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ensuring compliance with state regulations and school procedures
• Working onsite, in-person only
