Speech Language Pathologist in El Cajon, CA

Step into a fulfilling opportunity to support elementary students’ communication growth in an engaging, school-based environment. This contract position runs from August 5, 2024, through June 12, 2025, and offers a consistent weekday schedule (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–2:15 PM, 40 hours per week). You’ll manage a caseload of 46 students, providing speech-language services in grades TK–5, including both general education and special day class populations for Speech IEP and MS SDC students.

Candidates who hold an SLP-CCC, are Clinical Fellows (CFY), or highly qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (if an SLP is not available) are encouraged to apply. Bilingual professionals or those with prior experience in diverse school settings will truly shine in this role. Remote or hybrid services are not available; all work is in-person at Lemon Crest Elementary.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, or eligibility as a CFY or qualified SLPA.
• Active, appropriate state licensure/certification for SLP or SLPA.
• Experience in school settings and delivering services to diverse student populations is highly desirable.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills to coordinate with staff and participate in team meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to TK–5th grade students.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized intervention plans.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, maintaining accurate documentation and timely report writing.
• Support student progress and participate in ongoing professional development.
