A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide essential support to K-12 students in a dynamic school setting. This contract role offers a consistent 37.5-hour workweek during the normal school year, serving a diverse population of learners in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication challenges
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to support student progress and inclusive classroom practices
- Document and track student progress, providing detailed reports and recommendations
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid SLP credential and relevant certifications
- Experience working with K-12 age groups in a school setting
- ASL fluency is highly preferred to support students with diverse communication needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaborative relationships
- Ability to adapt assessment and therapy methods to individual student needs
