Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
• Previous school-based SLP experience, ideally with high school students
• Proficiency in evaluating and recommending assistive technology tools for communication support (experience in assistive technology is a plus)
• Strong collaboration, communication, and consultative skills, working effectively with multidisciplinary school teams
• Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure

Responsibilities:

• Support and consult with staff members across seven schools to ensure high-quality speech and language services
• Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations
• Make recommendations regarding appropriate assistive technology for student communication needs
• Provide resources, training, and guidance to educators and paraprofessionals
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation according to state and district requirements
• Contribute to meetings and IEP processes as needed
