Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a supportive elementary school environment near Elgin, IL! This is a contract opportunity, spanning from August 17th through May 28th, with a consistent 37.5-hour workweek. You will collaborate with a dedicated team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of approximately 55 students, all within resource or general education settings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- State licensure (or eligibility) to practice in Illinois
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for fostering communication skills and confidence in young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver targeted interventions
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in resource and general education settings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation to comply with state and district requirements
- Participate in school-based meetings and contribute expertise to support student success
- Engage in professional development to stay current on best practices
