As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work full-time throughout the entire school year and partner with another professional to evenly divide responsibilities in the building. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Active SLP license (Illinois)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Experience in pediatric and school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Skilled in teletherapy platforms and technology for remote service delivery
  • Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with teachers, students, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to a school-aged caseload
  • Partner with the co-SLP in the building to ensure seamless coverage and equitable division of duties
  • Conduct evaluations and reassessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain documentation in compliance with legal requirements
  • Utilize teletherapy as appropriate to support students’ needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Provide training and resources to staff and families regarding communication strategies
