Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Elgin, Illinois

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
• Valid state licensure (or ability to obtain before start)
• Experience in school settings
• Familiarity with pediatric populations, including students with diverse needs
• Comfort with technology and teletherapy platforms
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across grade levels as outlined in IEPs
• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ eligibility and ongoing therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies
• Attend meetings, contribute to IEP development, and participate in school team functions as scheduled
