School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Elgin, Illinois

Position Highlights:

• Part-time schedule (21 hours per week) with potential to increase hours
• Flexible work hours between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm, typically arranged between 8:00 am and 2:30 pm
• Contract runs from ASAP through May 28th, 2027
• Work with a wide-ranging caseload of students from kindergarten to age 22
• Expected to be on-site three days weekly: typically Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with possible additional days as needed

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
• Valid licensure (Illinois) for school-based practice
• Previous experience in school settings or with therapeutic populations preferred
• Strong evaluation skills and capacity to offer oversight, as the role requires direct SLP credentialing—SLPA credentials are not suitable for this position
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy to students across various age groups and support needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with educational guidelines
• Collaborate closely with a supportive team of educators, therapists, and administrators
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a positive learning environment
