Key Requirements:
- Valid and current SLP licensure for the state of Illinois
- Previous school-based SLP experience with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a collaborative educational team
- Open to candidates ready for a full-time assignment with consistent commitment through December
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide screening, assessment, and direct therapy services for elementary students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, services, and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute specialized expertise to help design student-centered educational plans
- Serve as a resource for staff on speech and language development and intervention strategies
