Key Requirements:

  • Valid and current SLP licensure for the state of Illinois
  • Previous school-based SLP experience with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a collaborative educational team
  • Open to candidates ready for a full-time assignment with consistent commitment through December

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide screening, assessment, and direct therapy services for elementary students with speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, services, and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute specialized expertise to help design student-centered educational plans
  • Serve as a resource for staff on speech and language development and intervention strategies
