Speech Language Pathologist in Elgin, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Prior experience delivering services in a school environment, preferably high school
• No SLPAs or Clinical Fellows (CFs) for this position
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseload responsibilities
• Comfortable with both full-time (max caseload 60, typically starting around 30) and part-time options

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech-language therapy to high school students, supporting individualized education program (IEP) goals
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain documentation in compliance with district standards
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to optimize student communication outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights
• Create a supportive, engaging environment tailored to adolescents

This contract role offers up to 37.5 hours per week during regular school staff hours (7:55am-3:25pm), with flexibility for part-time schedules based on your needs. You’ll be based within a modern high school facility, working with a forward-thinking and inclusive district.
