School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Elgin, Illinois

Step into a vital role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school-based setting near Elgin, IL. This position begins September 29, 2026 and continues through June 9, 2027. You will provide expertise within a dynamic middle school environment, making a meaningful impact on students’ communication skills throughout the academic year.

Candidates who are fluent in both English and Spanish and who hold the necessary state credentials will thrive in this engaging, student-focused environment. The caseload follows a workload model averaging around 45 students, in line with state guidelines, and you’ll deliver services either at a single middle school site or potentially across multiple school locations. Both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time arrangements may be considered.

Your background and qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
• Active IL SLP license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Bilingual: proficient in Spanish and English
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Comfort with school-age caseloads and flexible with itinerant assignments

Key responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy for middle school students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress
• Maintain organized documentation to support student outcomes and compliance
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and training sessions
