Exciting opportunity available for a Speech Language Pathologist to support students for the 2020-21 school year in the Elizabeth City, NC area. This contract position is suited for both experienced SLPs (CCC) and recent graduates (CFY) seeking hands-on experience within the school setting. You’ll play a pivotal role in fostering communication skills and enhancing student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology is required
- Active North Carolina state licensure and certification
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as well as those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- School-based experience or a strong desire to work with K-12 populations
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 students, delivering individualized and group therapy services
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Address a range of communication disorders including articulation, language, fluency, and voice
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough, compliant documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, impactful learning environment
