School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Elizabeth City, North Carolina

A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for a contract placement in a supportive school setting near Elizabeth City, NC. This position covers the full 2020-21 academic year and is open to both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). The selected SLP will play a vital role in helping students reach their communication goals while collaborating closely with educators and families.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure and certification for North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• CFY candidates, as well as experienced CCC-SLPs, are encouraged to apply
• Strong organizational and communication skills for effective documentation and family engagement
• Ability to handle a caseload of approximately 50-60 students across various age groups and needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
• Deliver therapy sessions in both individual and group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
