This opportunity, located near Elizabeth, NJ, seeks a speech professional to work one-on-one with a student who needs speech instruction twice a week for 20-minute sessions, spanning from March 17 through June. What We're Seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current license or eligibility in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, or strong pediatric experience welcome
- Previous experience in school, pediatric, or healthcare settings as an SLP
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professional standards
- Ability to build rapport with school-aged children and caregivers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable access to transportation for in-home visits
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech therapy sessions at the student’s home, twice weekly
- Deliver tailored instruction targeting identified speech and language goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate session records per guidelines
- Collaborate with family members and educational team as needed
- Ensure sessions are conducted in compliance with all relevant school and professional standards
- Offer feedback and guidance to families to encourage continued growth between sessions
