Speech Language Pathologist in Elizabeth, NJ

Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist working with middle and high school populations. This assignment begins as soon as possible and is expected to run through the end of the school year. Candidates will support students aged 11-17 across two locations, providing services essential to their academic and communication success.

You’ll work 2-3 days per week, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, making it a perfect role for those seeking a part-time schedule while still making a significant impact. The caseload features approximately 30-50 students and offers experience with a diverse range of communication needs. Both clinical fellows (CFY) and fully certified (CCC) Speech-Language Pathologists are encouraged to apply and will be welcomed in a collaborative setting.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current or eligible licensure as an SLP in the state
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status preferred
• School-based, adolescent, or pediatric speech therapy experience a strong asset
• Ability to work across multiple school sites as assigned
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech-language therapy for students aged 11–17
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess, diagnose, and document student progress toward goals
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Provide input and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
