Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Illinois SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Previous school-based experience is valuable, though not required
• Exceptional communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate productively with teachers, support staff, and families
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools and clinical observation
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals
• Provide direct therapy sessions—individually or in small groups
• Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and other team members to support academic and social success
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary discussions, and advocate for student needs
• Maintain accurate and timely reports, progress notes, and documentation
• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices
