School Speech Language Pathologist - Elk River, Minnesota

Step into a pivotal Speech-Language Pathology role serving elementary-aged students in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity starts immediately and runs through May 28, offering a focused assignment at a single location near Elk River, MN. With a consistent weekly schedule of 35 hours, you’ll make a difference for a caseload of approximately 50 students, ages 8-12, addressing a spectrum of communication needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Valid state licensure or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders within a diverse group of elementary-age students
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to support student growth
• Deliver dynamic therapy sessions both individually and in group settings, adapting activities to engage students ages 8–12
• Maintain thorough records of student progress, ensuring compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise for student success and program development
