Desired Experience & Credentials:

  • Current Speech-Language Pathology CCC certification
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in North Carolina
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable, organized, and collaborative attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and hearing screenings and evaluations for students
  • Develop, implement, and manage IEPs for students identified with speech and language needs
  • Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate records and detailed documentation of student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and other team conferences as needed
  • Offer guidance and resources to teachers and families to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom and at home
