School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Ellicott City, Maryland

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current SLP license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals based on student assessments
• Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to integrate communication strategies into classroom activities
• Document student progress and maintain detailed and timely records as required by the school and state guidelines
• Participate in intervention and IEP meetings, sharing expertise and advocating for student needs
