School Speech Language Pathologist - Ellicott City, MD

Make a meaningful impact in schools near Ellicott City, MD as a contract-based Speech Language Pathologist. A progressive district is seeking dedicated SLPs to fill multiple long-term substitute needs for the 2023-24 school year, supporting students from early childhood through elementary ages. Openings are available at several elementary campuses, with full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedules and immediate to mid-November starts. Assignments may run through mid-February, with potential to extend through the end of the academic year.

Opportunities include:

• General education and regional program support (AAC experience preferred) at Waverly Elementary
• Early childhood focus at Veterans Elementary
• K–5 caseloads at Deep Run Elementary
• Split assignment between Atholton and Phelps Luck Elementary

Candidates must be able to work on-site. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs are welcome to apply.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Current Maryland Speech Language Pathology license in good standing
• Completion of SLP-CCC or be a qualified Clinical Fellow (CFY)
• Previous experience working with school-aged children and familiarity with IEP process
• Knowledge or experience with AAC devices is a plus
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conducting speech, language, and communication evaluations
• Developing and implementing therapy sessions
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Progress monitoring and documentation as required by district standards
• Providing support in inclusive and specialized program settings
