Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this summer as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school-based environment near Endicott, NY. This full-time position runs throughout the summer, offering the potential for extension into the new school year if the assignment is a good fit. You'll have the support of an onsite facilitator, ensuring communication flows smoothly and providing in-person assistance as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Current SLP-CCC licensure and eligibility to practice in NY
- Experience delivering speech/language therapy in a school setting
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students’ needs for speech/language services
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy onsite and/or through facilitation
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation and progress reports
- Communicate regularly with families, staff, and administrators regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based solutions for student support
