School Speech Language Pathologist - Englewood, Florida

Take your expertise in speech and language therapy to a welcoming school-based setting in the Englewood, FL area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support approximately 60 students within a collaborative educational environment, working 40 hours per week throughout the academic year. Qualified candidates will have flexibility in applying, as the role is open to both SLPs (CCC or CFY) and SLPAs.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure/certification as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA eligible for school-based assignments
• Previous experience in school settings preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of diverse communication needs in school-aged children
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, families, and educators
• Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide therapeutic interventions to students individually or in groups, targeting speech, language, and communication goals
• Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor progress
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning as needed

Employment Details:

• Contract position running from August 3, 2026, to June 1, 2027
• Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week
• Manage a varied caseload of approximately 60 students
• Open to enthusiastic SLPAs, SLPs with CCC, and SLPs completing their CFY
