Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Current state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Prior experience in a school environment strongly favored
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability for diverse school caseloads

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
  • Provide direct therapy sessions to students, individually and in groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to monitor and report progress
  • Offer guidance on communication strategies within the classroom and at home
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and legal requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives
