Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Escondido, CA

Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about serving elementary-aged learners! This contract position spans the 2024-2025 school year, supporting students from transitional kindergarten through 5th grade. As part of a collaborative educational environment, you'll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (7:30 am – 2:15 pm), with a manageable caseload of 46 students that includes those with Speech IEPs and students in mild-to-severe special day classes receiving speech services.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
• Valid California SLP license or eligibility
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Strong preference for candidates with previous elementary school experience and/or bilingual skills
• Able to attend onsite Monday through Friday (no teletherapy/hybrid)
• Open to considering applicants at both SLP and SLPA levels

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech therapy services to assigned caseload
• Conduct assessments and complete evaluation/ progress reports
• Collaborate with educators and other support staff
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings as required
