Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational environment near Issaquah and Everett, WA. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current WA SLP license or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CF candidates considered
- Demonstrated experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, including eye gaze technology
- Background in school-based SLP practice, particularly at the middle or high school level, is highly desirable
- Collaborative, flexible, and compassionate communication style
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to middle school students four days per week (Tuesday–Friday)
- Dedicate Mondays to serving a small caseload of homebound students (2 elementary, 2 secondary) and providing specialized support with AAC, eye-gaze, and other assistive devices
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in concert with teachers, families, and support staff
- Track and document progress, advocating for student needs
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in a brief overlap and orientation period with the outgoing SLP in mid to late February
This position runs ASAP through June 17, 2026, with work hours from 7:30am-3:30pm (Monday starts at 8:30am). You’ll have the satisfaction of working both with middle schoolers and a small, inspired group of homebound students, expanding your clinical skills and impact.
