A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Fabens, TX, supporting PreK through 12th grade students primarily at the high school level with an option to work with K-8 students. This role focuses on providing essential speech therapy services in a school setting to address significant gaps in communication support caused by an extended lack of services. The position requires dedication to managing a substantial caseload and extensive documentation to ensure student progress and compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech language therapy services to students ranging from PreK to 12th grade
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40–64 students, depending on placement
- Address backlog of speech services due to previous lack of intervention
- Prepare and maintain IEPs and related documentation
- Work onsite at one or two school locations in the El Paso area
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student communication goals
Qualifications:
- Valid State Speech Language Pathology licensure required (proof of licensure must be provided)
- Experience in school-based speech therapy preferred
- Ability to work full days; part-time considered but must maintain full-day schedule
- Bilingual language skills are a plus but not required
Work Schedule and Duration:
- Contract position beginning ASAP through June 12, 2026
- Approximately 37.5 hours per week
- Work performed onsite in the lower valley south of I-10 or northeast of I-10 areas
