Speech Language Pathologist in Fairchild Air Force Base, WA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students for the full school year through June 16th. You’ll collaborate within a vibrant educational setting located near Fairchild Air Force Base, WA, working alongside a dedicated team including two colleague SLPs. This school features a diverse and expanding population of nearly 600 students, including three preschool classrooms and two specialized Autism/IDD classrooms that benefit from a collaborative therapeutic approach.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active state licensure as an SLP or eligibility as an SLP Clinical Fellow (CFY); SLPA candidates with school or healthcare experience are also welcome to apply
• Experience working in school settings preferred; familiarity with teletherapy is a plus
• Demonstrated skills or interest in serving elementary-aged students, including preschoolers and children with autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for a varied caseload, with a focus on the elementary and specialized classrooms
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services both in-person and through teletherapy, as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, SLP colleagues, and support staff to optimize student success and inclusion
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent consultations to support holistic student development
