Qualifications sought:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Virginia
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Familiarity with special education processes and IEP implementation
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, educators, and families
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a dynamic caseload
- Passion for supporting children with diverse language, speech, and communication needs
What you’ll do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy to students in individual and group settings
- Monitor progress and adapt intervention strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to ensure holistic care
- Educate and support parents and caregivers regarding their children’s communication development
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
