Qualifications sought:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Virginia
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Familiarity with special education processes and IEP implementation
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, educators, and families
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a dynamic caseload
  • Passion for supporting children with diverse language, speech, and communication needs

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual and group settings
  • Monitor progress and adapt intervention strategies as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and therapy outcomes
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to ensure holistic care
  • Educate and support parents and caregivers regarding their children’s communication development
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
