Exciting contract opportunity available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists interested in supporting middle school students. This flexible role is ideal for those passionate about helping young learners achieve their communication goals in a collaborative educational setting.
The position focuses on delivering mandated speech services approximately 6 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 10-12 hours per week for candidates able to assist with evaluations, meetings, and additional service needs. Consistent availability is required on consecutive mornings, from 7:45 am to 11:00 am, to best serve the needs of the students and school schedule. This is currently expected as a year-long assignment but may adjust as internal staffing evolves.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license and certification (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience providing speech services in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Ability to adapt communication strategies to support students at the middle school level
- Skilled in collaboration with teachers, related service staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services for students according to mandated requirements
- Conduct evaluations and write clear, actionable reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and support teams in developing and updating goals
- Maintain detailed documentation for all interventions and progress notes
- Communicate routinely with faculty and caregivers to support student growth
