This position focuses on delivering expert nursing care to a group of 12 young learners, ensuring their health and wellness while fostering a nurturing atmosphere. The assignment runs from June 1 to June 25 with the possibility of extending into the summer (July–August), providing stability and flexibility for the right candidate.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • Recent experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to health needs of preschool-aged children
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Collaborative mindset to work alongside educators and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily nursing care and medication administration for preschool students
  • Assess and monitor students' health status, responding to illness or injuries promptly
  • Serve as a liaison between school staff, families, and medical providers when needed
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation as required by school policies
  • Support the implementation of individualized health plans and emergency care protocols
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote student well-being
