Key Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Recent experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively to health needs of preschool-aged children
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Collaborative mindset to work alongside educators and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide daily nursing care and medication administration for preschool students
- Assess and monitor students' health status, responding to illness or injuries promptly
- Serve as a liaison between school staff, families, and medical providers when needed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation as required by school policies
- Support the implementation of individualized health plans and emergency care protocols
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote student well-being
