Apply NowStep into a rewarding contract role as a Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity offers the chance to work closely with students from Pre-K through 12th grade in an educational setting committed to student growth and communication development. Flexible hours are possible within the school's 8:00 am to 3:15 pm schedule, and elementary students typically finish their school day earlier.
You’ll support a manageable caseload of approximately 15-20 students, providing individualized interventions that maximize students’ speech and language success. SLPA candidates are encouraged to apply—especially those with experience in elementary school settings. As an SLPA, you will work with elementary-aged students under the support and supervision of an experienced SLP, fostering skill development and collaborative practice.
Qualifications:
- Active or eligible California license as an SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA
- Experience in school-based speech services preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with students across grade levels (Pre-K–12), or elementary if applying as an SLPA
- Commitment to in-person service delivery
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and deliver direct therapy
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multi-disciplinary team members to support student language development
- Document progress and maintain required records in compliance with regulatory standards
- SLPA role to include working directly with elementary students under SLP supervision
