This full-time, contract opportunity is for an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. You’ll play an important part in helping students thrive, using your expertise in the school environment to make a real and lasting impact. With a focus on in-person services, you’ll be working directly with children and collaborating with a dedicated educational team.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid SLP licensure in West Virginia (or eligibility)
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and/or school-based settings
- Comfort with full-time, on-site presence (remote/virtual not offered)
- Ability to work professionally with students, staff, and families
- SLPA applicants with school-based experience may be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language intervention, evaluation, and assessment to students as identified on IEPs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, progress reports, and planning
- Develop individualized treatment plans to promote student success
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement strategies that enhance communication skills
- Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Offer support and guidance to SLPAs as appropriate in the educational setting
