Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and develop IEPs for students with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student’s goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups
- Educate and collaborate with teachers and families to support generalization of skills in classroom and home environments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reporting
