Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and develop IEPs for students with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students to determine speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student’s goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Provide direct therapy services individually and in small groups
  • Educate and collaborate with teachers and families to support generalization of skills in classroom and home environments
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reporting
