Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid SLP license for the state of Virginia
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• Previous experience working in a school setting is highly valued
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Ability to tailor therapy plans for diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Consult with teachers, families, and other staff to support students’ learning and development
• Maintain accurate progress records and documentation as required by the school
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on student plans and progress
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to student needs
• Educate and support teachers and families in understanding and managing communication challenges
