A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a contract assignment in a dynamic elementary school setting near Federal Way, WA. Step into an onsite role working with a caseload of approximately 40 elementary students, supporting the speech and language needs within a vibrant school environment. This assignment runs from September 2, 2026, through February 15, 2027, totaling 32.5 hours weekly and offering the chance to make a lasting difference in students’ lives.
Key Requirements:
- Active WA SLP licensure, or eligibility and willingness to obtain WA SLP licensure
- Current or ability to obtain WA ESA certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- School-based SLP experience preferred, especially with K-5 populations
- Must complete fingerprinting through OSPI
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff and the onsite behavior program
Primary Duties:
- Provide onsite speech and language services for approximately 40 elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Offer support to behavior programs within the school as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Communicate effectively with families, educators, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
