Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Federal Way, WA

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist across districts in the Tacoma area. This school-based, contract opportunity offers both stability and the variety of working with diverse learners from now through June 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid and current SLP state licensure or ability to obtain before starting
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations highly valued
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for empowering students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs

What you’ll do:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders for PK-12 students
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
• Provide direct and consultative services to students and staff
• Maintain accurate documentation for progress monitoring and compliance
• Communicate regularly with families regarding goals, progress, and strategies to support development
• Contribute expertise for staff training sessions as needed
