A fulfilling opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to cover a maternity leave in a school setting near Flint, MI. This contract position is ideal for candidates passionate about supporting young learners from Young 5’s through third grade. The assignment starts mid-September, with a brief orientation period a few days before students arrive, and runs through December.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current or eligibility for Speech-Language Pathologist state licensure
  • CCC-SLP credential or strong CFY candidates will be considered
  • Previous experience working with pediatric and school-aged populations highly valued
  • Familiarity with school-based documentation and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in small groups and individually
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and regularly update IEPs
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention outcomes
  • Contribute to team meetings regarding student needs and services

This role offers a schedule of approximately 24 hours per week, structured as six-hour days over four days, providing a healthy work-life balance for professionals interested in a part-time schedule during the fall semester.
