Key Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan SLP license required; CFYs must hold a temporary license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred.
  • Must provide an official copy of university transcripts prior to submission.
  • Experience in school-based settings and comfort working with K–12 caseloads.
  • Understanding of challenges faced by urban youth and the ability to identify suitable resources for students and families.
  • Preference given to onsite applicants, though skilled VOCO providers may also be considered.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students across multiple grade levels.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure holistic student growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in meetings as needed.
  • Serve as an advocate for student success within the school community.
