Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students’ growth at a welcoming elementary school near Foley, MN. This assignment begins in October with a long-term substitute need for approximately 10 weeks, transitioning to a flexible part-time schedule of two days per week thereafter. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and staff in a positive environment, making a difference each day.
Ideal Background & Experience:
- Active SLP license (with CCC certification preferred)
- Background in K-5 school settings and familiarity with IEP processes
- Prior experience with speech/language therapy in educational or healthcare environments
- Strong interpersonal communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and supporting students
- Enthusiastic, adaptable approach to dynamic school needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students in both individual and group settings
- Evaluate students, complete assessments, and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation reflecting student progress
- Consult with teachers and families to support student goals and generalization of skills within classroom routines
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams, staff meetings, and parental conferences
- Foster a motivating and inclusive environment that encourages each child’s communication growth
