Make a positive impact on students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working onsite within a supportive educational environment near Fontana, CA. As an integral part of the school team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with an on-site Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and provide impactful services to students needing MAT coverage, with the assignment potentially continuing through April. This is a contract role offering full-time hours and the consistency of working at a single location.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- California state licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
- Solid understanding of school-based therapy practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with SLPA and other education professionals
- Experience with MAT (Medical Assistance Team) coverage is an advantage
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy services to students
- Collaborate closely with the onsite SLPA for service delivery
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other service providers regarding student progress and needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
