Step into a contract position making a direct impact in the lives of elementary and middle school students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This rewarding opportunity is located near Fort Deposit, AL, providing services across both an elementary and a middle school, supporting grades 3–5.
Bring your expertise to a vibrant educational environment, collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to help students achieve their communication and learning goals. Your role will be key in shaping individualized plans and facilitating progress for a manageable caseload of 35 students, ages 8–11.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Alabama SLP licensure (or state certification for school-based SLPs)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in school settings or working with children in grades 3–5 strongly valued
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and a student-focused approach
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy to students in individual and group settings
- Provide consultation and collaborate with staff and families
- Maintain thorough documentation of progress and meet compliance requirements
- Support school-wide initiatives for communication and literacy development
Details:
- Assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 21, 2027
- Full-time: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Serve students in both Greenville Elementary School and Greenville Middle School (grades 3–5)
