Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Alabama SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Prior experience working in a school-based setting highly preferred
  • Strong clinical skills across ages and communication disorders
  • Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication abilities
  • Compassionate approach toward supporting students’ growth and confidence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Deliver engaging, targeted therapy sessions (individual and group)
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Provide guidance on AAC devices and strategies as needed
  • Help foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
