Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by providing speech-language services in a supportive educational setting on a contract basis. You’ll work closely with educators, families, and students to assess needs, deliver therapy, and help children achieve their communication and academic goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach with students of varying abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings to determine students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, setting measurable goals
- Deliver therapy sessions individually or in small groups, tailoring interventions to each student
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families and school staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
- Educate teachers and families on strategies to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate, timely records and reports in compliance with school/district and professional standards
