A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. This position focuses on delivering speech and language therapy services to students to support their communication development and educational progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress and adjust therapies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Provide guidance and support to classroom staff on communication strategies and interventions
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in educational settings with pediatric populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones and disorders
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
