School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Fort Smith, Arkansas

Qualifications:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
• Previous experience working in school settings preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach with students of varying abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and screenings to determine students’ speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, setting measurable goals
• Deliver therapy sessions individually or in small groups, tailoring interventions to each student
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families and school staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
• Educate teachers and families on strategies to support student communication needs
• Maintain accurate, timely records and reports in compliance with school/district and professional standards
