Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting near Fort Worth, TX! This contract opportunity runs from mid to late September through the end of December, and offers the chance to work closely with students, staff, and families to promote communication growth and student success.
You’ll serve an engaging caseload of 60–65 students from Pre-K through 5th grade, including general education, special education resource, and life skills self-contained classrooms. With a commitment of approximately 37.5 hours each week (Monday through Friday), you will provide essential SLP services, helping students reach communication milestones and build confidence.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for speech-language pathology in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY considered
- Prior experience in school settings, especially with PK-5th grades, is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload, including students in gen ed, resource, and life skills programs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver therapy sessions individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff
- Document progress and communicate effectively with families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professionally to multidisciplinary teams
